Mwen alé – The Quest for Resonance @ Montréal Serai

Presentation in English

I invite you to read and listen to “Mwen alé – The Quest for Resonance,” published in the webzine Montréal Serai.
It’s a very personal and multifaceted project, and I’d like to thank Montréal Serai for granting this space for my vision to take shape.
Through a fusion of poetry, linguistic transposition, music, and illustration, I sought to document a complex journey that resonates with many Afro-Caribbean queer people like me.
My work was published in the section titled “Hope has two daughters.” It’s the perfect section to invite viewers to look beneath the surface of the postcard…

About Montréal Serai

Montréal Serai is a non-profit webzine focused on arts, culture and politics. We began in 1986 as a local theatre and arts collective that went on to produce a print magazine before going digital. Our driving force: creating new communities, new arts, new solidarities, where voices once relegated to the margins take centre stage.
